Thaw flank steak in packaging for 20 to 25 minutes in warm water.
Set aside marinade with French shallots from the packaging. Heat and pour over flank steak to serve.
BARBECUE
Preheat BBQ to high. Remove flank steak from packaging and sear for 1 to 2 minutes per side. Reduce heat to medium and grill for 8 to 10 minutes depending on desired doneness, turning several times to ensure even cooking.
STOVE TOP AND OVEN
Preheat oven to 350°F. Heat a little oil or butter in a skillet over high heat and sear steak for 1 to 2 minutes per side. Transfer to oven for 8 to 12 minutes depending on desired doneness. Remove from pan and let rest for 1 to 2 minutes.
For maximum flavour, we recommend warming dinner plates before serving.
Veal should be prepared from rare to well done.
